“Much of my work is rooted in mixed media and incorporates collage, drawing, and painting. I enjoy seeing landscapes, figures and still-life emerge from the layers of colors, textures and marks put down on canvas. Early 20th century graphics served as inspiration for my recent paintings. I was attracted to these images because of the bold simplicity of line, color and hand-painted text: a historic and aesthetic base.”
