Liz Howe

Liz Howe’s sculpture practice explores the Anthropocene—the current epoch in which human activity has profoundly transformed Earth’s ecosystems. Merging elements of Surrealism, Minimalism, and the decorative arts, Howe creates contemporary ceramic objects that invite reflection on our evolving relationship with nature and material culture. Abstracted landscapes intersect with forms loosely drawn from furniture and object design, blurring the boundaries between the domestic and the ecological.
