“I spent most of my childhood moving back and forth across the United States. I can still remember the endless vistas from days of car travel. The beauty of the varied landscapes left a real impression on me. I gain inspiration from the change in season and the light of any given minute of the day. To paint landscapes I feel more connected to the world, and endless observation constantly informs my work. I tend to paint what is around me and as I live in an agricultural landscape that is what I paint.”
