Anne Francey
Anne Francey lives and works in Saratoga Springs, NY. Her studio practice includes painting, drawing and ceramic.
Born In Switzerland, she studied painting at the École des Beaux-Arts (ECBA) in Lausanne, Switzerland, got an MFA at Hunter College in New York. , and more recently studied ceramic painting techniques at the Tunis National Ceramic Center Sidi El Kacem in Tunisia, inspired by the ceramic tiles design and technique often seen in traditional North African architecture. She has exhibited her work in the United States, Switzerland, and Tunisia. She is the recipient of several grants from the New York State Council of the Arts for creating community murals in schools and public places.
Anne Francey teaches studio art and leads workshops on the majolica and cuerda seca ceramic painting technique. She is the recipient of several grants from the New York State Council of the Arts for the creation in schools and public places of Community Murals involving hundreds of participants.
